Yet another example of sick talent meets slick producer Paul Trust resulting in another star being shot across the skies for all to see! I don’t know how the man manages to find such incredible talent to place in front of his engineering console, but he does it again with THE CHAOS AGENT. This time, Trust keeps his Florida roots in tact as he works the Fort Myers boys through the paces of a complex batch of 3-tunes, one of which is destined to take them to the very top of the Active Rock Radio plateau. “Reborn”, the EP opener is so hot my ears are still burning. A tricky guitar intro lays the groundwork for a catchy verse that just explodes into the chorus from hell, folks! This one will have your attention long after you stop listening, I promise. It’s not hard to imagine this one being played right next to your BREAKING BENJAMIN and THREE DAYS GRACE favorites on every station on the planet! I detect a huge hit for sure. Track two, “TTV”, is a catchy as hell romper with more of a Post-Punk vibe combined with heavy Pop tinge. It’s as if FALL OUT BOY had a fist-to-fist with TAKING BACK SUNDAY and the winner went on a bender, smoking something highly illegal! Great message behind this one as well as some very cool playing from the entire band; Paul Trust’s idle hands controlling the perfect combustion of sound for each chorus to keep it heavy-handed and edgy. The final track, “Invincibly Sound” is probably going to be an easy mark for fans of PANIC AT THE DISCO and bands of that ilk as it is a very Pop-infused ditty with a catchier-than-all-get-out vocal performance from singer Josh Poullion.
There’s really nothing I can uncover in THE CHAOS AGENT that could be improved. They’re just a damn good band, with again, an incredible producer that is destined to be the next Howard Benson. Truly a must have CD for anyone who loves today’s Rock music. Head over to (HERE) to find out everything about the band as well as purchase this killer E.P. Very, Very Highly Recommended!!!

ENSTRIDE Standing And Waiting E.P.

Having heard quite a bit of music lately that was overseen by ENDO/DIECAST producer Paul Trust, I was very excited to check out the three tracks on ENSTRIDE’s latest E.P. Trust knows how to get a great sound out of an Active Rock band looking to appeal to radio audiences, so it’s always a treat to hear his work. Here we find him taking on a Philadelphia-based band with incredible chops and deathgrip precision in their delivery. The opening title-track is a heated affair of guitar brawn and drumming excellence. I especially love how you can’t really tell from the opening riffs, just how the song is going to groove until they launch it at point-blank range to the bridge of your nose. This puzzling little intricacy is very apparent in track #2, “Parasite”, which wails away on guitar making you think it’s going to blast in with some cut-time drumbeat. Instead, it stomps, Godzilla-like, right in your face with drummer Steve Jepson pulling a perfect Morgan Rose (of SEVENDUST fame) growl/scream backup throughout singer Justin Wright’s impeccable vocal-melodic gymnastics show! This is by far, my favorite track on the E.P. I’ve hit “repeat” on this one more times than my Itunes can calculate at current! Finishing up this trio of radio-ready rockers is “Wings”, a mid-tempo, semi-acoustic number that doesn’t really hit a pace for me until the chorus and killer breakdown parts appear. Unfortunately, those breakdowns don’t make their presence known enough throughout for my taste, but it’s still a song that ranks higher than most bands’ best numbers.
With all that said, the final outcome is an E.P. that stands up and demands to be heard. Great performances from the band all-around and an incredible mix from Mr. Trust make this another Heavy Rock standout that should have fans, both new and diehards, screaming as they crowd the front-of-stage at their live shows. Head over to (PURCHASE HERE) to snag your copy now and keep your eyes peeled for when they’ll be touring near you. This one is Very, Very Highly Recommended!!!
