Atom Smash
The process of accelerating and smashing atoms is how scientists create a nuclear reaction. No name suits this explosive Miami, FL-based four- piece better than Atom Smash. Their high-energy live show brings to life the true meaning of the moniker.
Formed in 2006 by charismatic frontman and songwriter Sergio Sanchez and producer/drummer/co-writer Paul Trust, the team set out to write and record what would become the Atom Smash debut album. Hundreds of ideas were spilled on tape before a record was even a consideration. The duo struggled early on to find worthy musicians. It was when “Guitar Hero” Z and bassist Arnold Nese arrived that Atom Smash fused into its current form. Drummer Mark Annino took over the live show in early 2008 topping off the talented and powerful permanent line-up that now is Atom Smash.
What is great music without a great team of believers? Panacea Records, a Florida based production company, was the original supporter of the project. In 2007 they attended SXSW in Austin, TX, where Dirk Hemsath, founder of The Working Group Artist Management, heard “Sacrifice” and immediately signed on to manage the group. Hemsath is heavily armed with his discovery of the multi-platinum artists The All-American Rejects as well as Say Anything, both of whom he signed to his label Doghouse Records. Under his guidance the band gathered the songs that would form their hard hitting and heart-thrilling debut record. The completed Atom Smash
album includes eleven songs of sometimes brutal, sometimes beautiful, always explosive, songwriting and production.

DAY MINUS 7 TO BEGIN MIXING

DM7 is scheduled to begin mixing their much anticipated EP with PAUL TRUST at Dungeon Recording on the first week of March. Trust will be mixing again with JOE WILLIAMS. The duo mixed DIECAST “INTERNAL REVOLUTION’ and EKOTREN “LIGHT THE FIRE” and “DESTROYING THE AMERICAN DREAM”.
